Offered is a fascinating and very complete example of the freshwater aquatic reptile Sinohydrosaurus lingyuanensis Jianjun 1999, from the Lower Cretaceous, Yixian Formation of Liaoning Province, China.

Examples of this elegant and delicate species that are entirely natural are very hard to source because the specimens are always collected in several pieces from a thin 'paper-shale' and glued together, then mounted on a resin or plaster backing for strength. This example is no exception with obvious tranverse and triangular, but skillfully repaired, fractures and no restoration of any bone material.

The skull is complete with lower jaw intact; the complete vertebral column to the tip of the tail is articulated, the rib cage is replete with all ribs and all four limbs are intact with the pectoral and pelvic girdles intact and all digits and claws preserved and seen best under magnification.

Such large and complete examples are exceptional........... one for the serious collector!.
